It is very exciting to be running my ministry group for women "overcomers" at church. I still am pinching myself to see if it's a dream! The first meeting was held last Tuesday evening at 7.30pm. There were two of my wonderful friends and I. Although we were small in number, the meeting took shape and was awesome!
At onset of meeting, I began speaking, giving my testimony, sharing my story, giving background and idea for God's vision for my ministry while friends listened, taking notes. I then went through meeting structure and optional activities we could run...there was opportunity after that, for my friends to share their thoughts or suggestions, and also their story and experiences. They were not obliged to do so. We had an awesome prayer time which took us into what was on our hearts to pray, and we all prayed for each other and future progression of group meetings to come. What I hope to do eventually is to compile an overcomers book with testimonies of each overcomer member, and how we all have overcome by the word of testimonies, through the blood of the lamb. Praise God!
